Functions For Parting & Grooving Tool Blades:

Usage:
Setup: Select the appropriate insert (GTN2, GTN3, GTN4, GTN5, or GTN6) based on the material and groove dimensions. Insert the selected tool into the tool holder and securely tighten it.
Machine Setup: Mount the tool holder onto the lathe machine and adjust the cutting depth and speed according to the material and desired cut.
Grooving Operation: Feed the tool holder into the material along the pre-determined groove path. Maintain a consistent cutting speed to ensure a smooth, precise groove.
Parting Operation: For parting, position the tool holder perpendicular to the workpiece and feed it into the material to create a clean cut. Ensure the cutting force is controlled to prevent tool breakage or damage.
Precautions:
Tool Holder and Insert Compatibility: Always ensure that the insert size matches the tool holder model. Using the wrong insert may cause tool instability or reduce cutting efficiency.
Cutting Speed and Feed Rate: Adjust the cutting speed and feed rate based on the material hardness and the type of operation. Excessive speed can cause overheating and premature wear on the insert.
Tool Wear: Regularly check the inserts for signs of wear or damage. Dull inserts should be replaced promptly to maintain cutting quality and prevent damage to the tool holder.
Secure Setup: Always ensure the tool holder is securely fastened on the lathe machine to prevent vibrations or shifting during operation, which can affect machining accuracy.
Cooling: Use appropriate coolant or lubrication during machining, especially for parting operations, to prevent overheating and ensure smooth cutting performance.
Safety: Always wear proper safety gear (gloves, goggles, etc.) when operating lathe machines. Ensure that the work area is clear of obstructions and that all machine safety features are functioning properly.
